Utility Issues Shut Leesburg Pike Utility issues closed all westbound lanes of Leesburg Pike Wednesday morning, May 1. According to the VDOT site, traffic was being diverted to Patrick Henry Drive as of 9:30 a.m. The roadway was closed at Castle and Thorne roads in Seven Corners. UPDATE: Utility Problem. VA-7 WB at Thorne Road. Fairfax County, VA. All travel lanes remain blocked. Traffic reportedly diverted to Patrick Henry Drive. Delays remain heavier than usual in area. Pedestrian Struck By Train In Garfield, Service Delayed On Bergen County Line: NJ Transit A pedestrian was struck by a train Wednesday morning, May 1, briefly suspending service to the Main-Bergen County Rail Line, NJ Transit said. The pedestrian was struck and injured just west of the Plauderville Station in Garfield just after 5:30 a.m., a spokesperson for NJ Transit said. 2 VA Men Split Lottery Ticket, One Purchased In Loudoun County Sharing is caring for two Virginia men, each $122,500 richer before taxes. Darrell Terry, of South Boston, and Lou Malfi, of Leesburg, won the tickets in the Cash 5 on Feb. 28, with EZ Match drawing. Fire Rips Through West Falls Church Home A fire ripped through a home in West Falls Church on Tuesday afternoon, April 30. Firefighters posted an update from the scene around 5 p.m. showing a charred roof of a home on the 7000 block of Lee Park Court. Woman Shot By Neighbor Through His Garage, Her Kitchen Wall In Stafford: Police A 56-year-old Stafford was jailed for a shooting involving an innocent victim: His neighbor. The female victim, a resident of a home in North Stafford, said she was not sure what happened, but that she was bleeding profusely from her stomach around 12 a.m. Tuesday, April 30, the county sheriff's office said. Pals Assault Victim In Jewelry Heist Gone Wrong In Arlington: Cops Two friends who share the same last name were arrested in Arlington for assaulting a man in an apparent robbery gone wrong, police said.
