An international empowerment and after-school running program for girls in 3rd through 5th grades will begin at several sites in Bergen and Passaic counties on March 7.
Girls on the Run — a 10-12 week program — is designed to help girls recognize their inner strength with the final goal of running a 5K.
The curriculum encourages positive emotional, social, mental and physical development, in which girls explore their beliefs and experiences.
