MAHWAH, N.J. – Children with special needs are invited to “Bounce Out the Stigma” at a free basketball clinic from 4-6 p.m. Friday, Nov. 20 at Down Town Sports in Mahwah.
Boys and girls with autism, ADD, ADHD, epilepsy, Down’s Syndrome and other developmental disorders ages 7-18 can enjoy basketball in a non-competitive atmosphere. Kids will experience basketball drills for motor skill development and build self-confidence while enjoying the game.
“Bounce Out the Stigma” is conducted by Mighty Mike Simmel, former Harlem Wizard and founder of the clinic.
Down Town Sports is at 7 Leighton Place, Mahwah.
