MAHWAH, N.J. -- The township will have to pay legal fees incurred by Mahwah Volunteer Ambulance Squad Company 1 following a Superior Court judge’s ruling, NorthJersey.com reported.
Judge William Meehan said the township must pay $3,000 it cost the volunteer company when they sued the township for failing to provide a 30-day notice of lease termination when they moved a new company into the headquarters, and for violation of the Open Public Meetings Act, according to the story.
Ten members of the company, which has since merged with another, sued saying they were forced out of their building at 258 Franklin Turnpike, NorthJersey.com said.
