“The sexual abuse, which is alleged to have occurred in one instance in Mahwah, was initially reported to the Mahwah Police Department who contacted my offic’s Sex Crimes and Child Abuse Unit,” leading to today’s arrest of Federico M. Hernandez, Bergen County Prosecutor John L. Molinelli said late this afternoon.
The single Hernandez, of Reich Avenue, is charged with sexual assault and child endangerment, because of the girl’s age (see below).
His bail is $150,000 cash, pending a court appearance. Hernandez also had to surrender his passport.
