UPDATE: A distraught Ramsey man was taken to Bergen Regional Medical Center after police were called to his home last night.
The Cambridge Heights townhouses resident “was taken into custody after a short dialogue” following a response by Ramsey and Mahwah officers, Police Chief Bryan Gurney told CLIFFVIEW PILOT this morning.
EMS remained on standby at Ramsey police headquarters.
The resident has a legally owned shotgun that “was not used or brandished in any way,” the chief said.
