MAHWAH, N.J. -- Richard G. Satriano, 76, of Mahwah, formerly of Fairview and Cliffside Park, passed away Tuesday.
Satriano developed a love for music growing up in Fairview and Cliffside Park. He studied at the Manhattan School of Music, earning a bachelor’s degree and going on to teach music in the Union City school system for more than 30 years.
In his spare time, he played percussion with many different musicians. In retirement, he became an avid bowler and often could be found at Montvale Lanes.
Satriano is survived by his wife Dianne (nee Mitchell), son Scott and wife Carol, daughter Lori Ann, stepchildren Robert, Paul, Cathy and Christine, sister Maryann Schoene and her husband Ken, ex-wife Joyce Mikalonis and her husband Ed, nieces, nephews and grandchildren.
He was the son of Nicholas and Jean (nee Apruzzese) Satriano of Jersey City.
A funeral Mass will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Friday in St. Andrew's R.C. Church, 120 Washington Ave, Westwood. Entombment will follow in the Garden Of Memories, Washington Township.
