MAHWAH, N.J. -- Lilyan S. Stone, 88, of Mahwah, died Friday, Sept. 16.
She was born in Denver and was a longtime resident of Ho-Ho-Kus before moving to Mahwah recently. She was a homemaker, an avid gardener, enjoyed reading, travel, and art and was a member and past president of the Women Gardeners of Ridgewood.
She was a longtime member of St. Bartholomew’s Church in Ho-Ho-Kus.
She is survived by her husband, Robert W. Stone; three sons, David A. Stone, Bradford S. Stone and his wife Pamela and Evan W. Stone; three grandchildren, Robert, Allison and Daniel; sister, Bobbe Tate; and two brothers, Stanley Sydenham and his wife Carla and Ronald Sydenham.
Visitation will be from 4-6 p.m. Friday at the Vander Plaat Funeral Home, 257 Godwin Ave., Wyckoff. The funeral service will be at 9:30 a.m. Saturday in St. Bartholomew’s Church, 70 Sheridan Ave., Ho-Ho-Kus. Interment will follow at Valleau Cemetery in Ridgewood.
