MAHWAH, N.J. — Sofya Dorshenko might not be here today if it wasn't for three Mahwah police officers.
Officers spotted the youngster, then 9, standing on her third-floor balcony as a fire raged through her condominium complex.
"Jump!" they called up to her.
She did, trust-falling backwards off the railing and into their arms.
