Smash-Grab Incident At New Britain Stop & Shop Under Investigation Police in Connecticut are investigating after thieves backed through a Stop & Shop gas station door and made off with a cash register. The incident occurred in Hartford County around 4 a.m., Tuesday, May 7, at the New Britain store on West Main Street. According to Rachel Zaniewski of the New Britain Police, officers responded to a burglary after a vehicle backed through the door to the Stop and Shop gas station. North Bellmore Robber Uses Taxi As Getaway Car, Police Say A man who robbed a Long Island 7-Eleven fled the scene in a not-so-inconspicuous car, according to authorities. It happened on Friday, Dec. 8 in North Bellmore. At approximately 5:50 a.m., Nassau County Police said the robber walked into the 7-Eleven located at 2663 Jerusalem Avenue. Once inside, he walked behind the counter, pushed the employee out of the way, and snagged multiple packs of cigarettes. Wawa Truck Driver Robbed At Gunpoint For $27K In Cigarettes: State Police A truck driver delivering goods to a Chester County Wawa was held up at gunpoint and robbed of $27,000 in cigarettes, state police announced.  It happened, coincidentally, in East Marlborough Township, troopers said.
