RAMSEY, N.J. — The entire Academy of St. Paul gathered for an assembly to honor Martin Luther King Jr.
The Monday assembly was organized by fourth grade teacher Mary Flanagan, whose students performed Martin Luther King Jr's "I Have A Dream" speech followed by a rendition of the song "This Little Light Of Mine."
"I wanted all of my students to understand not only the significance of the 'I Have A Dream' but also who Martin Luther King Jr. was as a leader," Flanagan said.
"The responsibility each of them took memorizing parts of his speech were just as impressive as the pride they walked with while reciting it during the presentation."
"We are all so humbled by the impact Martin Luther King Jr. has had on all of our lives and the fourth grade was honored to emulate that in our prayer service today."
