Mahwah, Ramsey Schools Named Among Top 100 In New Jersey

MAHWAH, N.J. — Nineteen school districts in Bergen County were named among the top 100 in the state in a new ranking by Niche.

Niche is a web platform that ranks schools on a variety of factors, including hard data, student outcomes, and information provided by students and parents in the community.

With this information, Niche also grades every school district between an A+ and an F on Academics, Health & Safety, Student Culture & Diversity, Teachers, Resources & Facilities, Extracurriculars & Activities, and Sports & Fitness. 

A parent survey also rates each school on a 1-5 scale with 5 being the highest.

Here are the Bergen County school districts that ranked in the top 100:

  • Ridgewood Public Schools — #7 overall
  • Pascack Valley Regional High School District — #8 overall
  • Tenafly Public Schools — #15 overall
  • Glen Rock Public School District — #18 overall
  • Northern Valley Regional High School District — #22 overall
  • Cresskill Public School District — #30 overall
  • River Dell Regional School District — #34 overall
  • Ramapo Indian Hills Regional School District — #38 overall
  • Paramus Public Schools — #42 overall
  • Fair Lawn Public Schools — #46 overall
  • Ramsey Public Schools — #57 overall
  • Mahwah Township Public Schools — #60 overall
  • Westwood Regional School District — #70 overall
  • Bergenfield Borough School District — #76 overall
