To the editor:
Economic growth in our community is essential to maintaining our low tax base.
On Wednesday, we met at the Sheraton Crossroads Hotel with key business partners, educators and former U.S. Ambassador to Germany Phil Murphy, who gave us all a chance to discuss the concerns of these small- to moderate-sized businesses.
The facts are that collectively around the table sat several trillions of dollars of commerce, which were included in today’s discussion.
A wide range of issues were discussed.
We will continue to promote economic growth and jobs in Mahwah. These two elements will keep Mahwah a low-tax, desirable place to live and do business.
We also discussed statewide issues facing business today. A strong economic plan was laid out by the former ambassador, and we appreciate him for taking the time to meet with us today.
More summits are being planned to hear from a wide range of concerned Mahwah business leaders.
