The Democrat announced that he will open local constituent service centers throughout the district that covers parts of Bergen, Passaic, Sussex and Warren Counties.

His two flagship centers will be located in Glen Rock and Newton, and satellite offices will be located within the city halls of Hackensack, Ringwood, Vernon and Washington Borough in Warren County.

“I encourage anyone in need of help or wishing to get in touch to visit these constituent service centers. My staff and I look forward to serving you,” said Gottheimer, who took office this month.

Trained constituent service representatives will be at the offices to provide residents with assistance on issues pertaining to things like veterans’ benefits, Social Security, Medicare, visas, passports, taxes, health care and federal grant applications.

Gottheimer said the selection of the six offices will save taxpayers more than $2,000 in rent compared to the previous offices run by former Congressman Scott Garrett.

“Saving taxpayers money and being responsive to the people of northern New Jersey are two of my top priorities,” he said.

The offices will be located at: 93 Spring St., Suite 408 in Newton; 65 Harristown Rd., Suite 104 in Glen Rock; 65 Central Ave. in Hackensack; 60 Margaret King Ave. in Ringwood; 21 Church St. in Vernon; and 100 Belvidere Ave. in Washington Borough.

According to Gottheimer, the hours of operation for each office will be announced soon.

The offices can be reached by calling (973) 814-4076.
