Two Nabbed For Stealing From Ramsey New Car Dealerships

Two men were nabbed for an auto parts burglary and for stealing from area car dealerships following an investigation by the New York State Police.

Robert Grahn, 28, and Edward Defreese, 40, were charged with felony burglary and felony criminal mischief following the investigation which revealed the two had burglarized a Town of Newburgh auto parts store by breaking out the front glass door and stealing the cash register, said Trooper Steven Nevel.

The investigation also revealed that Grahn and Defreese were responsible for stealing numerous auto parts from new car dealerships in the Middletown and Ramsey, N.J. area, Nevel said.

Additional charges may be pending as the investigation continues.

Both are being held in Orange County Jail in lieu of $2,500 bash bond. They are scheduled to reappear in court on Tuesday, Oct. 10.
