Detective Lt. Thomas Johnson and Detective John Tritto reviewed store surveillance video at Saddle Brook Wine and Country on Market Street, produced leads on the theft of $450 worth of Macallan and Wednesday morning tracked down John Berman, 25, of Paramus in Paterson, Police Chief Robert Kugler said.

With Berman was Thomas Vansickle, 21, of Hackensack, the chief said.

Working with their Wood-Ridge colleagues, Kugler's detectives charged Vansickle with snatching three electric toothbrushes, worth $126 each, from EZ Converters on westbound Route 46 in Saddle Brook.

A judge ordered Berman held on $5,000 bail on theft charges. Vansickle was charged with receiving stolen property and released on a summons.

Both are due in court Nov. 11.
