RAMSEY, N.J. -- Two Ramsey police officers were among the New Jersey recipients of Mothers Against Drunk Driver “Distinguished Service Award” during a breakfast at Rutgers University.
Officers Robert McMackin and James S. Peterson received the MADD awards Thursday for their work taking drunk drivers off the road from Acting Bergen County Prosecutor Gurbir S. Grewal.
Peterson, 27, is four-year department veteran, assistant traffic officer and member of the Ramsey Ambulance Corps.
McMackin, 34, is a two-year department veteran and former Arena Football League offensive lineman who also worked as a field agent for the U.S. Department of Homeland Security and in TV movies.
