Ramsey PBA Collects $3,000 To Fight Cancer During No-Shave November

RAMSEY, N.J. -- Retired members of Ramsey PBA Local 155 joined their active counterparts in raising $3,000 to fight cancer and raise awareness during No-Shave November.

Each officer donated $50, with the PBA matching the total, in the department's first-ever no-shave campaign, Local 155 President Adam Szelag said.

"I am very proud of this endeavor and all of the officers that participated," Police Chief Bryan Gurney told Daily Voice.

He jokingly noted that, with two female members of the department, he let the force grow facial hair for the month "if they could."

A check will be sent to the American Cancer Society on behalf of the Ramsey PBA, Szelag said.
