RAMSEY, N.J. -- A 27-year-old Ramsey man was struck and killed Thursday by a commuter train near the borough's Main Street grade crossing, NJ Transit officials said.
Service were resumed on the Main Line from Hoboken between Allendale and Suffern after the 6:48 a.m. incident, NJ Transit's Jim Smith told Daily Voice.
No crew members of any of the 60 passengers were injured, Smith said.
Buses and private carriers were honoring rail tickets, he said.
Victim information was being withheld pending notification of next of kin.
