Thirty minutes after arresting a Spring Valley man for DWI, Port Authority police pulled over a speeding, New York City-bound 2013 Toyota sedan at about 4:10 a.m., the authority's Joseph Pentangelo said.

The car "was being driven erratically, swerving from lane to lane on the bridge," he said.

The face of the driver, 24-year-old Oscar Barrera-Fiallos was flushed, and he smelled of alcohol, Pentangelo said.

After failing a field sobriety test, Barrera-Fiallos refused a breath test and was arrested, he said.

Police charged him with DWI, refusing to submit to a breath test, careless driving, speeding and failing to maintain a lane before releasing him to a responsible adult, Pentangelo said.
