Howard C. Davis, 34, of Newark was processed and released pending a Jan. 9 hearing in Fort Lee Municipal Court and his car was impounded, the Port Authority's Joseph Pentangelo said.

Officers stopped Davis at the GWB's lower-level toll plaza Friday afternoon after he illegally rolled through an E-ZPass lane, Pentangelo said.

A records check turned up 66 previous E-ZPass violations, he said.

Davis was charged with theft of services, toll evasion and driving with a suspended license, Pentangelo said. He also received several motor vehicle summonses.
