Police Respond To Reports Of Unconscious Person At Ridgewood Home

UPDATE (RIDGEWOOD, N.J) -- An autopsy was being conducted to determine the official cause of death for an 89-year-old man who was found unresponsive in a Ridgewood backyard pool, authorities said Thursday.

RIDGEWOOD, N.J. — Unofficial reports of an unresponsive person brought Ridgewood police and first responders to a Wyndemere Avenue home Wednesday evening.

Ridgewood police said an investigation is under way but could not confirm any information when Daily Voice called at 11 p.m.

Several Ridgewood police cars, an ambulance, a paramedic unit and two fire vehicles were at the scene, according to Boyd A. Loving.

Police officers were observed marking the property with yellow crime scene tape as ambulance and fire personnel left the home.

Earlier this week, the body of an overdose victim was found at a Ridgewood construction site.
