Edward Gannon and Steven Marsh were both arrested on Monday, when police armed with a search warrant seized the marijuana following a months-long investigation, Mahwah Police Chief James Batelli said.

Gannon posted bail, but March remains held on $15,000 at the Bergen County Jail. Both are charged with distributing marijuana, possession of paraphernalia and with being under the influence when they were arrested.

Also arrested were Gannon’s mother, 45-year-old Paula Gannon and her boyfriend, Jason S. Willis, 37, the chief said this afternoon.

She and Willis were released on minor charges of having less than 50 grams of pot and failing to give it to them.

The probe, led by Officer Michael Grassi, led to Monday’s raid, Batelli said.

Detectives and uniformed officers also found scales, a large amount of drug distribution items, cash, cell phones, and other items used in the illicit operation at the complex, where the chief said all four live.

“It is believed that the amount of marijuana distributed by these individuals was significant and mainly was directed to younger  individuals throughout the township,” Batelli said this afternoon.

Additional arrests are possible, the chief added.
