RAMSEY, N.J. -- A former JetBlue pilot from Ramsey was intoxicated while flying from Orlando to New York City, a Daily News report says.
Dennis Murphy, who has since resigned, was charged based on a .11 blood-alcohol content reading during a random alcohol test administered after Flight 584 from Orlando landed at JFK Airport in Queens with 151 passengers aboard, the Daily News reports.
Murphy, 44, registered a .091 on a second test 15 minutes later, a cmoplaint filed in federal court in the Eastern District of New York says.
Federal criminal charges are filed if a commercial pilot registers a .10 BAC or higher.
The FAA also limits pilots' BAC to .04, however.
Murphy flew a flight from JFK to Orlando earlier that day, the Daily News reports.
