Driver Arrested For DWI After Rollover Crash On Route 287 In Mahwah

MAHWAH, N.J. -- A driver was arrested for being under the influence on New Year's Eve after her car collided with an SUV, sending it rolling, on Route 287 in Mahwah.

The SUV rolled from the southbound side to the northboud lanes, then over a guardrail, responders told Daily Voice.

A medical chopper was called because of what appeared to be a lot of blood -- but was actually sauce from a tray of chicken wings, they said.

Two occupants were extricated and taken to a local hospital with injuries that responders said weren't life-threatening.
