Walter L. Chandler, 86, Ramsey Resident

RAMSEY, N.J. -- Walter L. Chandler -- a Ramsey resident, formerly of Maywood -- died on Sunday, April 3. He was 86.

Born in the Bronx, Chandler was an Army veteran of the Korean conflict. He lived in Maywood for many years. He was a truck driver for over 35 years, and in his retirement he lived in Ramsey. "Walter's wit and humor will be remembered by many," information from the funeral home noted.

He is survived by his sister, Mary McManus; niece Kathleen Mack and her husband Robert; nephew Russell McManus and his wife Ann; and many great-nieces and great-nephews.

Visiting hours will be from 5-8 p.m. on Wednesday, April 6, at the Robert Spearing Funeral Home, 155 Kinderkamack Rd., in Park Ridge. A funeral service will be at 10 a.m. on Thursday at the funeral home. Interment will be in George Washington Memorial Park, in Paramus.
