Pompton Lakes Grandparents Lose Grandson, 15, Who Fell Off Skateboard

POMPTON LAKES, N.J. — A Pompton Lakes couple is mourning the loss of its 15-year-old grandson who died after falling off of his skateboard, multiple sources report.

Thomas "Tommy" Bock of Hardyston died on Sunday.  He was a freshman at Sussex Tech High School in Sparta, where he played football and also wrestled for Walkill Valley Regional High School in Hamburg. 

More than $38,000 had been raised as of Tuesday evening on a GoFundMe for the family.

Tommy is survived by his parents, Eric Bock of Hardyston and Diane Bock of Franklin; his younger sister Allison; his maternal grandmother, Ellen and Stanley Jakobsen of Pompton Lakes; grandfather George Monks of Fredon; and his paternal grandmother Marilyn and Gerald Beck of Pennsylvania. 

Services for Tommy will be on Thursday at St. Judge the Apostle Church in Hamburg.
