He died on April 1 at 74 years old, nearly five months to the day after he was brutally attacked at his furniture delivery business.

The NJ Mover's Association has launched a YouCaring page in Catlow's name, where $1,800 had been raised as of Tuesday evening.

On November 4, 2016, at approximately 8:30 a.m., Jersey City police were dispatched to Catlow's office on a report of an armed robbery.

Arriving officers found him conscious with multiple wounds to his face and head. He was rushed to Jersey City Medical Center, where he was treated, then transferred for additional treatment at Morristown Medical Center where he remained until his death.

The initial investigation revealed that two men entered the office between 8:10 and 8:30 a.m. Irv described one of the suspects as a short black male and the other as a tall black male, and one of the suspects was armed with a chrome handgun.

Upon his death, the case was turned over to the Prosecutor's Homicide Unit, which is actively investigating the case with assistance from the Jersey City Police Department.
