Kenneth Hagedorn, 66, Of Mahwah

MAHWAH, N.J. -- Kenneth Hagedorn, of Mahwah, died Wednesday, Aug. 31. He was 66. 

He was born in Paterson and spent most of his life in Midland Park before moving to Mahwah a year ago. He was a member of the Wyckoff Police Department for 35 years before retiring as a captain six years ago. 

He attended the Cedar Hill Christian Reformed Church in Wyckoff. 

He is survived by his mother, Cornelia Hagedorn of Wyckoff; sister, Beverly and her husband Rod Den Hollander of Franklin Lakes; brother, James Hagedorn of Afton, Va; niece and nephews, Katie Den Hollander, David Den Hollander and Stephen (Amanda), Richard (Erin) and Jeremy Hagedorn; and grand-niece and grand-nephew, Lily and Dean. 

A private graveside service will be conducted Saturday at the Laurel Grove Memorial Park in Totowa. 

As an expression of sympathy, in lieu of flowers, donation in his memory may be made to the Annual Fund of the Christian Health Care Center, 301 Sicomac Ave., Wyckoff, NJ 07481.
