RAMSEY, N.J. -- Christos Kitsos, formerly of Ramsey, died Jan. 18. He was 89.
He was born in Greece to the late Apostolou and Maria. Before retiring, he was the owner of the Greek Islands Restaurant, as well as many other restaurants.
He was a member of St. Catherine Greek Orthodox Church in West Palm Beach and a member of AHEPA.
He was the husband of Evangelia (nee Eliades) Kitsos; father of Mary DelBene and her husband John of Pennsylvania, James Menoutis and his wife Angela of New Jersey, Niki Economou and her husband Dimitri of New Jersey, George and his wife LuAnn of Cooper City, John Menoutis and his wife Barbara of Cooper City and the late Paul Kitsos. He was the grandfather of 10 and great-grandfather of five.
The funeral will be at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at Costa Memorial Home, 170 Central Ave, Hasbrouck Heights. The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. from St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church, Wyckoff. Interment will follow at George Washington Memorial Park, Paramus.
Visitation is from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Monday. There will be a Trisagion Service at 7:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church, 467 Grandview Ave., Wyckoff, NJ 07481.
