MAHWAH, N.J. -- Andrew 'Andy' J. Ragone, of Mahwah, died on Saturday, July 16. He was 69.
Ragone graduated Most Holy Trinity High School in Brooklyn and attended college in New Mexico and New York City. He was a financial consultant for Dean Witter and Shearson Lehman Brothers, later opening a business Treats N Treasures in Mahwah. In his final years before retirement, he worked as a corporate sales representative for T-Mobile and earned many Presidential Awards.
"Andy's fondest memories were summers spent in Budd Lake, New Jersey, with his parents and family," according to information from the funeral home. "He also loved spending time with his children, family and friends."
Ragone is survived by his wife of 35 years, Helen (Komorowski) Ragone; children Andrew Ragone III and Dana Ragone; sister and brother-in-law Patricia and Robert Meschi, cousins Ann and Ronald Mega, Charles and Jeanne Clevenger, Eva and Frank Fontana, Mark and Val Pellegrino, Thomas Pellegrino, Jeanette and Tony Novella.
He was also survived by his sister-in-law and brother-in-law Barbara and Michael Krestynick; nieces and nephews Robert Meschi Jr, Nancy Meschi, Richard Meschi, Rosemarie Sutherlin, Thomas Mega, Elizabeth Morgan, David Clevenger, Lisa Krestynick, Stephen Krestynick and David Krestynick; and his dog, Millie.
Ragone was predeceased by his parents, Salvatore and Annette Ragone; grandparents Andrew & RoseMarie Ragone and Alphonse & Marie Della Monica; Cousins Louis & Gene Pellegrino, Chuck Total & Al Della Monica; as well as his in-laws Julius & Stella Komorowski.
Visiting hours will be from 4-8 p.m. on Tuesday, July 18, at the Vander Plaat Funeral Home, 257 Godwin Ave., in Wyckoff. A mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday at St. Elizabeth's Roman Catholic Church, 700 Wyckoff Ave., in Wyckoff. Entombment will follow at Maryrest Cemetery, in Mahwah.
