Three From Mahwah Damage Restaurant, Fight With Employees, Ramapo PD Says

Three Mahwah men were arrested Thursday after police say they caused a disturbance at a Route 17 restaurant in Hillburn, according to the Ramapo Police Department.

The unidentified men from Mahwah, N.J., came into the establishment intoxicated around 10:30 p.m. and began fighting with restaurant employees, police said.

According to employees, the men allegedly became rowdy and damaged a sign, a bathroom hand-dryer, and a wall separator in the dining area, police said.

 They also physically fought with a bartender who tried to intervene, police said.

A 22-year-old male was arrested for harassment, and released on his own recognizance. A 21-year-old male was charged with criminal mischief and released on bail and the third male, a 19-year-old, was charged with harassment, and possession of a forged instrument for having an altered driver’s license. He was held for arraignment, police said.

All are scheduled to appear in court later this month. 

Police did not disclose the names of the three men or the name of the restaurant.
