MAHWAH, N.J. — A 19-year-old Mahwah man died on Sunday morning after a two-year long battle with an aggressive form of gastrointestinal cancer.
Ian Rahimi passed away at approximately 6 a.m. in the ICU at Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center, where he spent the last few months fighting every day.
Ian Rahimi's friends at the Waldwick School of Rock last month were helping recruit blood donors to get the Steven's Institute of Technology student the one to two pints of blood he needed per week for transfusions.
Funeral services are scheduled for 12 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 17 at the Robert Schoem's Menorah Chapel, 150 Route 4 West, in Paramus.
