Mahwah Teen, Aspiring Broadway Star Sings For Homeless

MAHWAH, N.J. — A teen from Mahwah is raising money for a nonprofit that helps teenagers by putting his voice to use Tuesday, March 22.

Joe McDonald will aid the Covenant House New Jersey as he prepares to sing in “Night of Future Broadway Stars” at St. Joseph High School, Montvale, NJ.

“A Night of Future Broadway Stars” is an example of kids helping kids. Rising young performers, Broadway professionals, and Covenant House youth come together on stage for an evening of song and celebration.

Gifted rising stars offer their talents to give back to less fortunate kids their age, raising funds for homeless youth. The evening will showcase a variety of performances and talent.

Approximately 2 million teens will face homelessness in America this year. Covenant House provides care and vital services to homeless, abandoned, abused, trafficked, and exploited youth in 27 cities in the United States, Canada and Central America. Covenant House programs provide young people with the support they need to leave the streets and achieve independence.
