Ramsey Course Focuses On Alhzeimer's, Aging

RAMSEY, N.J. — The Ramsey library is offering a comprehensive overview of Alzheimer’s to anyone who wants to learn more about the disease or other forms of dementia Wednesday.

Music therapists at United Hebrew of New Rochello says music is not only soothing, it helps folks with dementia connect with themselves, their memories, and their families.

The program 7 to 8 p.m. will focus on risk factors and warning signs, steps to obtaining a diagnosis and treatment options.

Planning for the future, coping with behavioral and other changes, and accessing community resources are also reviewed.

The program is part of a series of lectures from Alzheimer's New Jersey being held at Ramsey Free Public Library through October.
