Ramapo College Students and Mevo To Clean Lake Henry In Mahwah

MAHWAH, N.J.– Ramapo College students are collaborating with the Mahwah Environmental Volunteers Organization to clean up Lake Henry on April 22.

Lily Mastrodimos, the AmeriCorps NJ watershed ambassador for Watershed Management Area 3, will join them. 

The cleanup, under the direction of Karin La Greca , will be from noon until 2 p.m.

Mastrodimos will educate participants on watershed health and the vital importance of keeping the watersheds clean. 

The event is open to the public. 

MEVO recently cleaned up Stag Hill. 

"We removed a massive amount of garbage from Lakeview Drive on Stag Hill and cleaned up a truck load of trash from the forests surrounding the Ramapough community center," according to the group's Facebook page. "We had an awesome team of volunteers that came out and we are stoked to get this clean-up season started."
