Teterboro Mechanic Who Wouldn't Sign Off On Plane With Fuel Leak Was Fired

TETERBORO, N.J. — An airplane mechanic says he was fired for not signing off on a plane with a fuel leak at Teterboro airport in January, the New York Post reports.

Dennis Portalatin says the nine-seat Dassault Falcon 20 had eight "discrepancies," the article says.

His bosses at charter-jet service Pro Pilots LLC allegedly told him to "let it go" before the flight took off, according to the NY Post.
