The studio space will be in the same mall as the retail store at 799 Franklin Ave., said owner Kara Schnaidt told Daily Voice.
The big question is, when?
“We just started construction and we don’t know how long it’s going to take,” said Schnaidt, of Franklin Lakes.
Her best guess: early to mid-January.
The new location, dedicated to kids’ classes and parties, will be open by appointment only, she added.
The Kake Studio at Kara Kakes will offer 10 different party packages.
“We have teamed up with two businesses to create the packages,” Schnaidt explained.
They are Bella Princess of Bloomfield and Chateau Salon of Franklin Lakes.
Kara Kakes has taken the area by storm since it opened early last year.
After graduating high school, Schnaidt, now 22, studied Baking And Pastry and Culinary Management at the Institute of Culinary Education in New York City.
She was named “Queen Of Cupcakes” by (201) Magazine last fall.
